Georgia remains undefeated at 4-0 after a 49-21 victory against visiting UAB. Quarterback Carson Beck completed 22 of his 32 passes for 338 yards, 3 touchdowns, and no interceptions. 2 of Beck’s scores went to Brock Bowers, who finished with 9 receptions for 121 yards. Daijun Edwards rushed for 66 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
LSU edged Arkansas 34-31 to move to 3-1. Damian Ramos converted the game-winning 20-yard field goal with 5 seconds remaining. LSU rallied from a 13-3 deficit in the 2nd quarter to earn the victory. Quarterback Jayden Daniels went 20-for-29 with 320 yards, 4 touchdowns, and an interception. Brian Thomas Jr. and Malik Nabers each had at least 130 receiving yards with 2 touchdowns.
Alabama defeated Ole Miss 24-10 in an SEC West clash between AP ranked teams. Alabama’s defense held Ole Miss to 56 rushing yards on 29 carries and forced the Rebels to go 3-for-14 on 3rd down attempts.
Meanwhile, Mullen’s former program Florida took care of business against Charlotte 22-7. The Gators limited the 49ers to 211 total yards.
