Former Alabama QB Greg McElroy is moving up the ladder at the Worldwide Leader.
ESPN announced Thursday that McElroy will be joining ABC/ESPN’s group of Saturday broadcast teams, partnering up with Dave Pasch (play-by-play) and Tom Luginbill (sideline reporter). McElroy has been featured prominently in the SEC Network’s college football coverage the past two seasons, serving as a co-host of the traveling pregame show “SEC Nation” and a studio analyst.
McElroy made occasional appearances in the booth for spring games, bowl games and two regular-season games. He will continue to contribute to SEC Network’s studio show “SEC Now” throughout the week.
The Crimson Tide alumnus played at Alabama from 2007-2010, leading the team to a BCS Championship in 2009. McElroy began his broadcasting career after two seasons in the NFL.
