ESPN’s FPI is back with more predictions for the week ahead in Week 11. Oklahoma at Missouri used to be a big game in the Big 12, but the two teams now square off for the first time as SEC foes in Columbia.
Neither of these teams appear to be in contention to make the SEC Championship or College Football Playoff, but this is still a game that could help clinch bowl eligibility. ESPN’s FPI is giving the Sooners a 41% chance to win this game, meaning the Tigers are favored to win the game at 59%.
Oklahoma has really struggled on offense all year, but Jackson Arnold looked like the quarterback Sooners fans had hoped to see this year. While it was against Maine, Arnold threw for 224 yards and 2 touchdowns. Running back Jovantae Barnes also had a huge game, as he finished with 203 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Missouri entered the season as a team many thought would make the CFP, but the team hasn’t been able to compete against the top teams on its schedule. In the 2 toughest games this year against Alabama and Texas A&M, the Tigers have been outscored 75-10 combined in those losses.
The Tigers were off last week, but lost 34-0 Alabama 2 weeks ago. Quarterback Brady Cook was injured in the game, and backup Drew Pyne finished with 3 interceptions.
