Alabama and Ole Miss face off in Week 4 in a game that will have major implications on the SEC West and SEC in general.

We’ll learn a lot from Week 4 across the college football landscape. A lot of teams are playing in their conference opener this week, which is true for both the Rebels and Crimson Tide as well.

ESPN’s FPI (Football Power index) is leaning with the home team for this one. The Crimson Tide are given a 66% chance of starting SEC play off with a victory.

Let’s start with the importance the home atmosphere will play in this one. For one, the Rebels have yet to play a defense that is comparable to Alabama so far this season. The Tide are far from as dominant as they have been in the past, but it’s the obvious strength for this team as the Tide try and remedy their recent QB woes.

That defense mixed with the Bryant-Denny crowd will surely test Rebels QB Jaxson Dart, who has started the season well in Oxford. And he’s done so without some top playmakers such as Tre Harris and Quinshon Judkins against Georgia Tech.

Jalen Milroe is an entirely different story. He struggled against Texas, but after Week 3 against USF it became increasingly obvious that he’s the best signal caller the Tide have. He’ll get the nod for Week 4 against the Rebels.

Week 4’s matchup is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
