Week 1 was a fun one.
Alabama and Georgia still look like the powerhouses they were expected to be heading into the season, and post-Week 1 power rankings reflect that. Joel Klatt was the latest to join in on the discourse.

It’s something to to note that Clemson’s ranking can’t be included in this top 10, but assuming the Tigers take care of the Yellowjackets like they’re supposed to Monday night, this list seems fair. I could nitpick and touch on USC at No. 8 this early, but I digress.
The 3 SEC selections on the list stand out. Georgia and Alabama are the obvious choices for No. 1 and No. 2, but it’s hard to dismiss Georgia’s dismantling of a top 25 team and award the Tide that No. 1 spot. Texas A&M conversely, did nothing to raise their ranking after a shaky start against Sam Houston.
