Kirk Herbstreit updated his top four teams after a wild Week 9.
With No. 2 Penn State and No. 4 TCU both losing, Herbstreit featured a shakeup in his top four.
Georgia blew out the Florida Gators, but that wasn’t enough for the Bulldogs to jump the Crimson Tide at No. 1. Notre Dame slid into the No. 3 slot with the win over NC State, while Ohio State moved to No. 4 with its big win over the Nittany Lions.

With Penn State and TCU both losing, it further increases the odds that two SEC teams will make the College Football Playoff this year.
The first College Football Playoff rankings come out Tuesday night, and there’s some talk that UGA might actually be No. 1. We’ll have to wait and find out.
Until then, Georgia can rest assured knowing it has the best win (Notre Dame) of any of the top four teams right now.
