The Crimson Tide open more than a touchdown favorite over the Seminoles in the highly anticipated showdown in Atlanta. Many Nick Saban and his former offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher to bring top-five squads to Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sept. 2. ESPN’s Rece Davis has even predicted that the two teams will meet again to play for the national championship.
The line on the weekend’s next-biggest game, Florida-Michigan, could change depending on the status of star Gators WR Antonio Callaway. UF coach Jim McElwain has not yet addressed the punishment for Callaway’s marijuana citation this offseason. Callaway has led Florida pass-catchers in receiving yards the past two seasons. The SuperBook currently has the Wolverines a 4.5-point favorite.
LSU (-14 vs. BYU) and Tennessee (-3.5 vs. Georgia Tech) both as favorites, but Texas A&M and South Carolina both find themselves underdogs heading into their Week 1 contests. UCLA is favored by 3.5 points over the Aggies while North Carolina State is favored by 5.5 points over South Carolina.
