Nate Silver of fivethirtyeight.com released the beta version of his College Football Playoff odds, and six of his 26 teams listed are from the SEC.
Entering today’s action, Alabama has the best shot at 40.7 percent. Undefeated LSU is actually 2nd with a 27.4 percent chance, and current SEC East leader Florida is at 11.2 percent.
The other three teams are Ole Miss (6.5 percent), Mississippi State (2.2 percent) and Georgia (1.8 percent).
