For four SEC teams, they got 2016 started the right way.
Mecole Hardman Jr., the nation’s top athlete according to 247Sports, released his top six teams and four of them hail from the SEC. Hardman tweeted that Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Michigan, Florida and Clemson are his top teams in consideration.
The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder is a five-star athlete from Elbert County High School (Bowman, Ga.). He’s only taken two official visits so far, and only one of them has been to one of those schools in his top six, and that’s Michigan. His next will be to TCU on Jan. 22, and the other two are a mystery.
According to 247Sports, Hardman has the highest probability of stay in the state and commit to Georgia. He’ll announce his commitment on National Signing Day, which falls on Feb. 3, 2016.
While listed as an athlete, Hardman is expected by several recruiting services to thrive at cornerback, wide receiver and kick returner/punt returner at the college level.
