NBC broadcast mistakenly identifies Jerome Bettis as ‘Breaking Bad’ actor
NBC made a regrettable mistake prior to Notre Dame’s primetime clash with Ohio State on Saturday night.
Notre Dame legend Jerome Bettis and South Bend native Dean Norris were both on the field pregame. NBC’s camera zoomed in on Bettis while the broadcast introduced Norris, who is best known for playing Hank on Breaking Bad.
The mistake was corrected as the camera quickly panned over to Norris.
Here’s a look at the error:

Bettis, of course, is a Notre Dame legend. He played running back for the Fighting Irish from 1990-92. He rushed for 1,912 yards over the course of his collegiate career. He then became a 1st round pick in the 1993 NFL Draft.
Notre Dame is looking for its first win over Ohio State since 1936. The Fighting Irish have lost 5 straight games in this series.
Notre Dame is off to a good start in 2023. The Irish are 4-0 and have scored at least 40 points in each of their 4 victories to start the season.
