Brent Venables is reportedly poaching from the SEC as he assembles his Oklahoma coaching staff.
Ole Miss offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby and Texas A&M strength coach Jerry Schmidt are reportedly on the move to Norman.
Ole Miss OC Jeff Lebby joining Brent Venables’ staff at Oklahoma is a “done deal”, per source.
Source also confirms the @AggiesToday report that Jerry Schmidt will rejoin Oklahoma as the #Sooners S&C coach. Schmidt previously held that position at OU from 1999-2017.

Ole Miss has produced one of the nation’s most prolific offenses in 2 seasons with Lebby as offensive coordinator on Lane Kiffin’s staff. Lebby, 37, is an Oklahoma alum who got his start in coaching as an OU student assistant in 2002.
Schmidt was at Texas A&M on Jimbo Fisher’s staff the past 4 seasons (2018-21). He originally followed Bob Stoops to Oklahoma from Florida in 1999. He remained on the Sooners’ staff through 2017.
