Report: Former Clemson RB’s death connected to football injury

Back in October, former Clemson RB C.J. Fuller tragically passed away at the age of 22.
Fuller was a member of the 2016 national championship team at Clemson, playing for the Tigers from 2014 to 2017.
On Tuesday, details were released of Fuller’s death, and there is a connection to his football career. Per The Greenville News, Fuller died of a pulmonary thromboembolism and deep vein thrombosis during rehab for a knee injury:
Fuller was doing physical therapy for a knee injury and began to experience chest pains in the moments before his death, his aunt Zola Fuller Beeks said after his death in an interview with the Independent Mail and The Greenville News.
Fuller died on Oct. 3. He ran for 599 yards and five touchdowns while also contributing on kickoff returns during his time at Clemson.
