Rich Rodriguez has brought on board a veteran offensive line coach with several stops in the SEC to his initial coaching staff at Jacksonville State.
Rick Trickett, most recently the associate head coach, run game coordinator, and offensive line coach at Division II Glenville State, was introduced on Tuesday along with several other hires.
Trickett spent 4 seasons as offensive line coach at Mississippi State from 1989-1992 before 6 seasons at Auburn in the same position from 1993-1998. After a year as the head coach at Glenville State, his alma mater, he returned to the SEC in 2000, this time under Nick Saban at LSU. He then spent 6 seasons at West Virginia as associate head coach and offensive line coach under Rodriguez.
Rodriguez was named head coach at Jacksonville State on Nov. 30 following a season as associate head coach and offensive coordinator at Louisiana-Monroe. That followed a stint as offensive coordinator at Ole Miss, which came after head coaching stops at West Virginia, Michigan, and Arizona.
