We bring you the best of sad fan shots from the weekend of college football. Be sure to tweet the best ones as they happen on Saturdays to @SDS.
Alabama pulled out a narrow win against rival Tennessee, but it was close the entire game. You can get a sense of just how close by looking at this group of Tide fans.
You may know this sad fan by the name of Peyton Manning. Once Alabama RB Derrick Henry’s 14-yard TD run put the Tide up 19-14 late in the game, the sadness started to sweep in on the Vols legend.
And once Tennessee’s current QB, Josh Dobbs, fumbled the ball away with 1:18 left, the sadness completely took over everyone in Knoxville.
And not just the fans.
If you’re a Texas A&M fan, it’s hard to explain what happened in the shocking 23-3 loss to Ole Miss, but this Aggies fan is apparently trying to figure it out.

Missouri fans suffered heartbreak in a third straight game, this time to Vanderbilt. With five seconds left, the Tigers had fourth-and-goal from the Commodores’ 3-yard line with a chance to tie the game. Mizzou couldn’t convert, and she couldn’t believe it.
Last week, there was too much utter sadness to ignore in Ann Arbor, and it was more of the same at Miami as the Hurricanes were trounced 58-0 by Clemson. The loss was enough to get coach Al Golden fired on Sunday, and it was enough to fire up ‘Canes fans with sadness … and anger.
But mostly sadness.
You got to give it up to unbeaten LSU because it hasn’t given any of its fans a reason to be sad so far this season. The Tigers have just been … cruise-ing along?
