SEC Shorts puts West teams through hilarious game show

The SEC West appears to be filled with plenty of parity through the first 5 weeks of the college football season. A hilarious skit from SEC Shorts explains all the ways that the division has been jumbled so far.

Alabama and Texas A&M are tied atop the division with 2-0 marks in the conference, followed by LSU, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Auburn, and last-place Mississippi State.

Alabama defeated host Mississippi State 40-17 to improve to 4-1. The Crimson Tide continues to focus on the ground game, as they rushed for 193 yards and 3 scores, including a pair from quarterback Jalen Milroe. Alabama harassed Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers into 3 interceptions and sacked him 4 times.

Texas A&M beat Arkansas 34-22. Edgerrin Cooper finished with 2 of Texas A&M’s 7 sacks on Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson. Texas A&M quarterback Max Johnson threw 2 touchdowns. Running back Le’Veon Moss rushed for 107 yards. Chris Russell Jr. recorded an interception.

Ole Miss edged LSU in a 55-49 shootout. Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart completed 26 of his 39 passes for 389 yards, 4 touchdowns, and no interceptions. Running back Quinshon Judkins rushed for 177 yards and a touchdown. Tre Harris caught 8 receptions for 153 yards and a touchdown. LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels went 27-for-36 with 414 yards, 4 touchdowns, and no interceptions in the loss.

Auburn narrowly missed out on an upset against Georgia in a 27-20 loss. Auburn tied the contest at 20 with 6:21 to go on a 42-yard field goal from Alex McPherson. Georgia sealed the win with a 40-yard touchdown from Carson Beck to Brock Bowers with 2:52 left.
