Five-star 2017 RB Cam Akers is getting close to making his college decision as a slew of SEC teams are among the teams making a late push to try to convince the Mississippi native to attend their school.
According to Clarion-Ledger reporter Will Sammon, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee are competing with Florida State for Akers’ services:
by end of today, expectation is HCs of FSU, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee will have all had in-home visits at some point w/ Cam Akers

All those coaches aren’t visiting Akers today — some have already made their visits. But, by the end of Sunday, Akers will have heard pitches from several top programs.
Where and when he decides to commit has yet to be determined, though.
According to the 247Sports composite, Akers is the No. 2 running back in the class of 2017 and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Mississippi.
