College football fans are always eager to learn how coaches and media members rank the top 25 teams. Out in Las Vegas, oddsmakers have power rankings for all 133 FBS teams.
College football guru Phil Steele maintains connections to the smartest folks in the desert. Steele has published weekly in-season Vegas Power Ratings since his time at ESPN. He’s now independent but continues to publish the Vegas Power Ratings, with weekly updates on his own website during the season.
Like the AP Top 25 and the Coaches Poll, Georgia has the top number in Steele’s Vegas Power Ratings. LSU is the next-highest SEC team after a dominant win over Mississippi State in Week 3. If last season’s division champs were to meet on a neutral field Saturday, UGA would likely be favored by 5-5.5 points.

Steele notes that the difference in 2 teams’ Vegas Ratings gives an idea of what the opening betting line would be if they met on a neutral field. He reminds readers that the Vegas Rankings don’t always reflect prior results on the field, citing Florida’s Week 3 win over Tennessee:
Tennessee just lost at Florida in the Swamp but if the two teams played again this week at a neutral site Tennessee would be favored.
Here are the rankings for all 14 SEC teams entering Week 4:
