You can’t turn on a bowl game without the broadcasters discussing LSU RB Leonard Fournette’s and Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey’s decisions to skip their teams’ games, and everyone has an opinion on the matter.

Most analysts are okay with Fournette (top 10) and McCaffrey (late first to second round) skipping bowl games because both are largely projected as first-round picks, and the risk of injury is too great for running backs.

The College GameDay crew discussed the subject Saturday morning. Kirk Herbstreit, David Pollack and Joey Galloway don’t like the idea too much, while Desmond Howard and Lee Corso are okay with it.

It’ll be interesting to see how this develops — or not — over the next few seasons.
