Washington State police are seeking a charge of felony second-degree assault against one of USC’s defensive linemen, according to an NBC Sports CollegeFootballTalk report.

USC redshirt freshman Liam Jimmons is accused of punching one of the Cougars’ fans who stormed the field after Washington State upset the Trojans in Pullman in September.

An abundance of Wazzu fans stormed the field in celebration, and one of them got hit.

A few days after that game, university police confirmed that they were investigating the incident and would not rule out charges being pursued against Jimmons, the CollegeFootballTalk report stated.

On Thursday, KXLY-TV in Spokane reported that university police were recommending prosecutors to pursue the felony charges against Jimmons.

The fan who was injured — a Washington State student — apparently had to be hospitalized twice for a concussion that stemmed from the alleged assault.

The Whitman County (Wash.) Prosecutor’s Office could reach a decision on whether or not to file charges next week, at the earliest, the report said.

Here’s the original video of the fan getting decked:
