2017 DB prospect Tavyn Jackson had been committed to South Carolina since this past June.

A 3-star out of Florida, Jackson had appeared to have second thoughts in recent weeks. He visited Maryland on Dec. 3, and also had interest in UCF.

With that said, Jackson took to Twitter on Tuesday and solidified his commitment to Will Muschamp’s program:

Jackson is a very talented player. He opted for South Carolina over offers from Clemson, Florida, Auburn, Utah, and Oregon. He’s exceptionally agile — and can stick with smaller, shiftier players.

Jackson could ultimately begin his career as a nickelback covering slot receivers, before transitioning to a bigger role.
