Prior to the 2017 season, former South Carolina DB D.J. Swearinger left the Arizona Cardinals and signed with the Washington Redskins.

However, on Monday, the Redskins released Swearinger after he was critical of the team’s defensive coordinator following a collapse against the Tennessee Titans.

He wasn’t unemployed for long, though, as the Cardinals came to the rescue again, signing Swearinger on Christmas Day:

Swearinger seems pretty excited to be back with the Cardinals, and the Cardinals clearly like what he showed during his time with the team from 2015 to 2016.

This season, Swearinger has four interceptions and three forced fumbles and, at age 27, still has a lot to give NFL teams.
