After the Washington Redskins lost to the Tennessee Titans on Saturday, former South Carolina DB D.J. Swearinger sounded off on the Redskins’ coaching staff, particularly some play calls made by DC Greg Manusky.

That led to the Redskins releasing him on Monday, and that didn’t make Swearinger very happy either.

He called a local radio station (106.7 FM) and said he doesn’t regret how he handled things, saying being emotional is the only way he knows how to be (via The State):

“I don’t regret nothing, because I know I gave 100 percent from my heart,” Swearinger said during the interview.

No, coaches aren’t going to like being questioned, especially not through the media, but Swearinger is talented enough that he’ll almost certainly find a new team.

Then, it’ll be up to him to make sure he doesn’t let his emotions cost him a job again.
