And Muschamp tweeted out the Gamecock Sign following JUCO DT Dantrell Barkley’s commitment to the Gamecocks via his Twitter account Tuesday.
The Independence Community College (Kansas) prospect became the Gamecocks’ 10th commitment for the class of 2018, and he held offers from Arkansas State, Colorado and Colorado State, among others. The 6-foot-4, 285-pound tackle became South Carolina’s second defensive line commit, joining fellow DT Lamarius Benson. Barkley hasn’t been rated by 247Sports Composite Rankings yet, but that’s sure to change.
In 12 games as a high school senior at A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, North Carolina), Barkley made 57 tackles, including eight tackles for loss and six sacks.
