South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer took to the airwaves on Thursday during his weekly “Carolina Calls” radio show as the Gamecocks prepare to host ECU at Williams-Brice Stadium.
The big question surrounds the health of running back Kevin Harris and quarterback Luke Doty. Both fill-ins were terrific against Eastern Illinois: ZaQuandre While ran for 128 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries, while Zeb Noland was 13-of-21 for 121 yards, tossing 4 touchdowns versus no interceptions.
And fans received good news on Harris, as Beamer declared him “full-go” for Saturday’s contest against the Pirates.
Shane Beamer: "Kevin Harris is full-go. He's had a great week of practice. He's not on a rep count or a pitch count or anything like that."

“We’ll play 4 running backs (against ECU)”, Beamer added.
As for Doty, Beamer mentioned that the sophomore has “been fine all week” despite being “a little bit sore” in preparation for the game. Beamer noted that Doty is just about there for Saturday, so all signs appear to be pointing toward a start unless there is a major setback before then.
Kickoff from Columbia is scheduled for noon ET. The game can be seen on ESPN2.
