South Carolina adds QB from Georgia to 2021 recruiting class

The NCAA ban on face-to-face recruiting clearly hasn’t affected the South Carolina Gamecocks’ ability to work the phones.
On Wednesday, the Gamecocks added a quarterback to their 2021 recruiting class.
As you can see below, 3-star 2021 QB Colten Gauthier from Dacula, Georgia, announced via Twitter that he was committing to the Gamecocks:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Gauthier is the No. 18 pro-style quarterback in the 2021 class and the No. 38 overall recruit from the state of Georgia.
The Gamecocks now have 3 players in their 2021 recruiting class. Prior to Gauthier’s commitment, the class ranked No. 56 in the nation and No. 12 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
