South Carolina is adding to its first roster under new head coach Lamont Paris.
The Gamecocks have been active in the transfer portal and, on Wednesday, picked up a commitment from a transferring forward who spent the past 3 years at Illinois.
As you can see below, Benjamin Bosmans-Verdonk took to Twitter to announce he was committing to the Gamecocks’ program for the 2022-23 season:

Bosmans-Verdonk appeared in 24 games for the Illini last season, making 2 starts. He averaged 1.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per contest.
Bosmans-Verdonk was an unrated prospect out of Belgium in the 2019 recruiting class. What sort of role he carves out for himself in Columbia remains to be seen, but he figures to crack the rotation for the Gamecocks this year.
