Three former Gamecocks looked impressive during NFL action this weekend.
DB Jonathan Joseph, WR Pharoh Cooper, and K Ryan Succop put up impressive performances in the NFL and have been honored with Player of the Week awards. NFL.com shared the awards list on Wednesday. Joseph was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week, Ryan Succop was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, and Pharoh Cooper was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Joseph came up big for the Houston Texans defense in the win over the Cleveland Browns. He recorded two tackles with two interceptions, one of which was returned 82 yards for a touchdown.

Cooper served as the kick and punt returner for the Los Angeles Rams against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Cooper finished the game with two kickoffs for 124 yards and a touchdown and three punt returns for 17 yards. Cooper’s touchdown was an electrifying 103-yard return on a kickoff.

Succop was a perfect 8 for 8 on kick attempts for the Tennessee Titans with five made field goals against the Indianapolis Colts. He accounted for 18 points in the Titans 36-22 victory.
