Deion Sanders was handed his 1st loss at Colorado in brutal fashion with a 42-6 beatdown at Oregon. After that difficult defeat, many in the national media are backing off the now unranked Buffaloes.

Colorado remaining schedule features a gauntlet of 4 ranked teams in the last 12 games, starting off with a home matchup vs. undefeated No. 8 USC this weekend. Other ranked opponents include No. 10 Utah, No. 16 Washington State, and No. 19 Oregon State. Also, Colorado will play UCLA and Arizona, both of whom are 3-1.

However, CBS Sports analyst Randy Cross is still riding with Coach Prime to reach bowl eligibility. Cross believes the eventual return of injured 2-way star Travis Hunter will reignite Colorado.

“I think they win 7 or 8. It’s going to be bad news for a few of those teams on there. People have gone broke betting against Deion Sanders and telling him what he can’t do. He’s going to find a way to do it. This’ll be a bowl team…They’re going to score on everybody, especially when they get Travis Hunter back.”

USC is coming off a 42-28 victory at Arizona State. Colorado has never defeated USC in 16 attempts dating back to 1927. USC at Colorado is slated for a 12 p.m. EST kickoff on Saturday and will be televised on FOX.
