Former college football head coach files $25 million lawsuit against school

Former college football head coach Nick Rolovich has filed a massive lawsuit against Washington State.
Rolovich, who was the Cougars head coach in 2020 after coming over from Hawaii, was fired for not getting the COVID-19 vaccine, which was required for all state employees.
Now, per ESPN, Rolovich’s attorney is filing a wrongful termination lawsuit, citing religious discrimination:
Rolovich’s attorney, Brian Fahling of Kenmore, did not return a telephone message left at his office Wednesday. He has previously indicated Rolovich would take legal action, claiming religious discrimination.
Rolovich, who is Catholic, was denied a religious exemption from Gov. Jay Inslee’s mandate requiring state employees to get the vaccine.
Rolovich went 5-6 during his 11-game tenure as Wazzu’s head coach. He had signed a 5-year contract worth $3.2 million per season.
