Texas A&M delivers run-rule victory over Florida, limits Gators to 1 hit

Texas A&M turned to the long ball and delivered 4 home runs on Thursday, as the Aggies demolished Florida 10-0 in the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Alabama in a run-rule game that ended after 7 innings.
The Aggies have now won 6 of the last 7, and 12 of their last 14 games following their clinching of the SEC West. The Aggies move on to play Alabama on Friday.
Micah Dallas turned in 5 innings on the mound, as he struck out 7 and walked 1. Joseph Menefee relieved Dallas and struck out 4.
Blake Bost delivered the big blow, a 3-run home run in the sixth inning, and he went 2-for-4 on the day at the plate.
The game was delayed from Wednesday, and didn’t finish until after 6 p.m. on Thursday, ahead of the Tennessee-Vanderbilt game as the SEC tries to get in 3 games on Thursday during the weather-delayed event.

This is the highest seed ever at the tournament for Texas A&M, as the No. 2 seed.
The Aggies are looking for their second SEC Tournament crown to put in the case with their 2016 trophy. Texas A&M owns six conference tournament crowns, including Big 12 titles in 2007, ’10 and ’11 and Southwest Conference crowns in 1986 and ’88.
