Texas A&M offensive lineman Matthew Wykoff is entering the transfer portal, according to a report.

Wykoff announced that decision on Wednesday morning:

Wykoff will likely not officially appear in the transfer portal until later this week, when the NCAA’s designated transfer window re-opens.

This is a big loss for the Aggies. Wykoff earned SEC all-freshman honors for his play in 2022. He played in all 12 games and made 9 starts for the Aggies last season. He also earned the offense’s “unselfish leadership award” at A&M’s team banquet.

However, the return of Bryce Foster to Texas A&M’s offensive line left Wykoff’s position with the program uncertain. Foster missed most of last season with an injury, clearing the way for Wykoff to earn a starting role.

Wykoff was a member of Texas A&M’s 2021 recruiting class. He was a 3-star prospect and the No. 36 offensive lineman in the country for that cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

The spring transfer portal window opens on April 15.
