Texas A&M is reeling Saturday due to 10 players being out to a flu outbreak, and during the first quarter against Florida, the Aggies defense lost another standout in Jaylon Jones.
Jones was ejected for targeting on a helmet-to-helmet hit against Florida wide receiver Ricky Pearsall. Pearsall went up for a grab near the goal line, and Jones leveled the Florida receiver with the crown of his helmet.
The targeting call was reviewed, and it was confirmed on the field, as Jones exited the game.
Pearsall stayed on the ground for a bit after the hit, but thankfully, he jogged off the field.
