Butch Jones comforted by player during embarrassing blowout loss

Butch Jones did not have a good Saturday.
The former Tennessee coach and his current Arkansas State Red Wolves lost 73-0 Saturday to Oklahoma in a game that was never, ever close. The Sooners were up 14-0 2 minutes into the game and scored a touchdown in the first 50 seconds.
An emotional Jones had to be comforted by an Arkansas State player, Justin Parks, during the game, presumably following an especially bad play.

Say what you will about Jones, but that shows some high character from Parks during an embarrassing blowout. Good on him.
Jones has really struggled at Arkansas State. He’s won just 5 games with the Red Wolves and 2 of those wins came against FCS programs. It’s unlikely he will be fired after losing to No. 20 Oklahoma, even in this manner, but that can’t happen against a Sun Belt program this season.
Arkansas State plays next against Memphis next Saturday.
