Tennessee baseball posted a pair of strong days at the 2023 MLB Draft in Seattle Sunday and Monday.

Four 2023 Vols and 1 signee heard their names called across the past 24 hours: Chase Dollander, Andrew Lindsey, Maui Ahuna, Seth Halvorsen and signee Carson Rucker.

There are a few notable exclusions from the above list that should make Vols fans excited. Jared Dickey and Wofford transfer Ryan Galanie are still on the board.

Both going undrafted through 10 is surprising, especially in Dickey’s case. He is perhaps one of the best prospects remaining in the draft and a uber-talented pure hitter, one that easily could have gone a few rounds ago. We’ll see what happens in the coming days, but it’s a safer bet for both Dickey and Galanie in a Vols uniform next season.

It’s worth noting that Dickey has 2 seasons of college eligibility remaining.

That’s not it, either. A few Vols signees made their intentions to pass on the draft clear Monday, indicating they will play their freshman seasons at Tennessee.
