Tennessee commit Nate Evans flips his pledge to NC State

A spot has just opened up on Tennessee’s bloated recruiting class as Virginia Beach native Nate Evans announced he has flipped his commitment to NC State.

The Frank W. Cox High School standout announced his decision on Thursday.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound three-star defensive back originally committed to Tennessee back in November. 247Sports Composite Rankings list Evans as the No. 58 cornerback prospect in the country for the 2021 recruiting cycle.

Following this news, Tennessee now holds commitments from 23 pledges in the 2021 recruiting cycle. Before his flip to NC State, Evans was the second-lowest rated recruit committed to Tennessee’s 2021 recruiting class.
