Now armed with 280 characters, Vol Twitter has creative ways to say ‘Fire Butch Jones’

It looks like fans of the Tennessee Volunteers are taking advantage of the new character limit on Twitter.

The popular social media site recently announced it was increasing the character limit of tweets from 140 to 280. It was a big move that now allows users to express a bit more in a single tweet than when the site was initially established.

Twitter may have a new character limit, but not much has changed for the Volunteers this season.

The Vols have had a miserable season and remain under .500 with a 4-5 record to this point. The team is still looking for its first SEC win of the season while continuing an uphill climb to bowl eligibility.

Tennessee Vols have responded with the new character limit to provide more ways to call for head coach Butch Jones to be fired. Many fans are done with Jones and are ready for a change in Knoxville. Here is a look at some of the best tweets over 140 characters:
