Robert Griffin III was on the call for the Mizzou-Auburn debacle on Saturday afternoon at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

It’s safe to say no one from either of those 2 teams will be winning the Heisman Trophy this year. But, being done early gave RG3 the chance to watch some other games around the country.

And, clearly, the ESPN broadcaster and former Baylor Heisman Trophy winner came away impressed with the Tennessee Volunteers. In fact, Griffin declared Vols QB Hendon Hooker the “runaway” Heisman favorite after Week 4:

It’s easy to see why Griffin was impressed with Hooker. In the Vols’ 38-33 win over the Florida Gators, Hooker threw for 349 yards and 2 touchdowns and added 112 yards and a score as a runner.

Can Hooker continue his strong play and continue to rise up Heisman leaderboards? We’ll see what happens when the Vols travel to LSU on Saturday, Oct. 8. Hooker and his teammates will have a chance to rest up during the open date this weekend.
