Tennessee fans all want the same celebrity guest picker for College GameDay

Tennessee being a host site for ESPN’s “College GameDay” has led to several well-known celebrities as possible guest pickers for the popular pregame show.

However, Tennessee fans appear to have settled on a country music legend as their choice. Dolly Parton, one of the most well-known natives of Tennessee was a popular choice, and one fan even used a lyric from a popular song in a pitch to ESPN, “Pour yourself a cup of ambition and make it happen.”

A member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Parton’s bio describes her career accomplishments this way: She joined the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1986 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2001. The Recording Academy honored her with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011. She has also won 13 ACMs, 10 Grammys, and 9 CMAs as of April 2022.
