Tennessee fans fail to see the ‘fun’ in CBS showdown with Alabama

CBS sure looks excited to air the upcoming Tennessee-Alabama game. Vols fans, on the other hand, do not appear thrilled for the matchup.
The Volunteers and Crimson Tide will meet on Oct. 21 in Tuscaloosa. Kickoff is set for 3:30 pm EST, and the SEC on CBS shared a graphic of the announcement on Twitter Monday.
The annual rivalry game has historically been a hard-fought battle, but the series has been dominated by Alabama for a while now. The Crimson Tide have won 10 straight over the Volunteers, and the Tide have scored 30 or more points in seven of those victories.
Anything can happen in a rivalry game, but another big win by Alabama certainly feels inevitable. The Vols were shutout at home by Georgia last weekend and have struggled much of the season on the offensive side of the ball.
Nevertheless, the SEC on CBS called the matchup “fun” when it announced the broadcast. Here is a look at the announcement on Twitter:
This one’s going to be fun.

Needless to say, many fans do not believe this matchup will be fun at all for the Volunteers:

Great. Tennessee gets to get embarrassed on CBS again.

66-0 isn't what we consider "fun" in the great state of TN. Feel free to NOT show the game. Nobody will notice. pic.twitter.com/oqEqWDjhpe
