Tennessee baseball improved to 2-2 on the season Tuesday, blanking Alabama A&M in the Vols’ home opener.

The Vols won in dominant fashion, run ruling A&M 10-0. How Tennessee got there wasn’t something you see every day, though. Freshman Ryan Miller, appearing for his first collegiate at-bat, left the yard, blasting a 2-run shot over the right field wall to complete the run rule.

Check it out below:

The No. 3 Vols are off to a good start in forgetting the opening weekend of the season ever happened. Or rather, learning from it so they can get better. After dropping a pair to Arizona and Grand Canyon, Tennessee blanked both UC San Diego and Alabama A&M. The Vols have another game against A&M scheduled before taking on Dayton this coming weekend.

Gonzaga comes to town in a few weeks providing some quality competition for Tennessee to judge against.
