Ryan Wingo is already making a huge impact on Texas’ offense.

Texas already had a big lead against Michigan on Saturday afternoon when Wingo made his biggest play as a Longhorn to-date. He took the ball on an end-around and raced 55 yards all the way to Michigan’s door-step late in the 3rd quarter.

Wingo, a former top-50 prospect, showed off the impressive speed that has so many in Austin excited for what his future holds. Texas went on to score a touchdown 3 plays later, ballooning its lead to 31-6 over the defending national champs.

Here’s video of Wingo’s big play:

Wingo is one of the highest-rated wide receiver recruits in Texas football history. He was the No. 39 overall overall player and the No. 8 wide receiver in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

He’s expected to play a big role on a Texas offense that also includes proven players such as Isaiah Bond and Matthew Golden. He caught 4 passes for 70 yards in Texas’ Week 1 win over Colorado State.

Texas will face UTSA at home in Week 3.
