Washington State is now without a defensive coordinator after struggling the last two weeks.
After giving up 105 points against UCLA and Utah combined, DC Tracy Claeys announced on Twitter that he was resigning his post.
As you can see below, he thanked coach Mike Leach and said this resignation wasn’t for health or personal reasons:
Thank you Coach Leach for the opportunity. I didn’t resign for health or personal reasons. The defense has struggled and I am responsible. We couldn’t agree on solutions so the SPEED D is better with new leadership! I love the players and staff! They will finish strong! GO COUGS

Per a report from ESPN, Claeys will be replaced by co-defensive coordinators:
Linebackers coach Roc Bellantoni and cornerbacks coach Darcel McBath will take over as interim co-defensive coordinators.
Will this help the struggling Cougars bounce back? Before the loss to UCLA, the Cougars were a ranked team.
