Former Alabama QB Blake Barnett has committed to Arizona State, according to his twitter account.

Barnett will be eligible to play for the Sun Devils next  year after sitting the first four games of the season. He left Alabama in late September and has been attending classes at Palomar College in California.

The California native transferred after getting beat out by freshman Jalen Hurts. Barnett started the first game of the season against USC before becoming the backup.

He’ll have three years of eligibility remaining.

Arizona State finished 5-7 this season in the Pac-12, and the Sun Devils could use a boost from the talented signal caller at some point next season.
