Freshman LB Mack Wilson is very proud to be hitting a top speed of approximately 19.7 mph, sixth best among Crimson Tide running backs, tight ends, linebackers and quarterbacks according to a photo that has since been deleted.

SEC Country captured a screenshot of a tweet, which was removed from Wilson’s account Saturday morning, showing the top 10 speeds for players from the position groups listed above. LB Rashaan Evans is the fastest of the bunch, clocking in at just over 20.5 mph. With only Wilson’s photo provided, however, many details are unknown about how the players are being timed, such as the surface and the distance.

The numbers could potentially be seen as troublesome for the Oct. 15 meeting with Tennessee. Last month, Volunteers RB Jalen Hurd posted a video showing him run at 23.1 mph on a treadmill. Perhaps the Crimson Tide’s best hope of catching Hurd in a race for goal line comes from the secondary.
