Watching his highlight reel, he does not impress me. Getting pushed off the line and making plays 5 yards down the field? Should have asked him to be a preferred walk-on and prove it with the big boys. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Don't let anyone fool you: Les Miles wasn't fired because he couldn't beat Alabama. Les Miles was fired because he either wouldn't or couldn't adapt to the strengths of his players. He also was fired because of the way that the teams did not respond mentally after the Alabama game. It had nothing to do with beating Alabama, because not many people beat Alabama. It had everything to do with his teams losing games like this year's Auburn game (bad clock management) and Florida game (mental mistakes and careless turnovers) when they should have dominated the game. Poor preparation; something that Alabama does not suffer from.
That's my point. He got hurt, now is playing timid because he doesn't want to fall out of the top 10 in the draft. Can't blame him for it obviously, but it's still hurting the LSU team. Those Ole Miss runs were through holes a semi could've driven through; he's not creating like he did last year.
Especially in public, to a reporter! But I think he would have made a couple of plays against Alabama that could have changed the game.
I've been saying since the first game Guice started that LSU is a better team with him in than with Fournette. Last year, Fournette was the clear-cut best RB in the country. This year, he has been extremely timid and almost seems to be playing not to get hurt for the NFL rather than to win these games. I know this is not his character, but I also can't blame him with an 8 figure contract on the table. Guise runs with so much intensity, that I can't help but think he would have been more effective in the Alabama game than Fournette.
This is awesome; it would be even better if it were made available to the public in Tiger Stadium. If Coach O goes either 3-1 or 2-2 in the final stretch, he needs to be hired as the full-time coach. What he has done to spark this team and community, in such a short time, is nothing short of amazing.
Reading the facts is exactly what led to my comment, SwampTrash. If you'd get up off your sister and pick up something that isn't written by a Florida fan, you would see what exactly transpired.
That is just ignorant. Alleva made every effort to play the game at or near Florida but met a brick wall in the arrogance of Foley and incompetence of Sankey. LSU also is forced to pay $1M more than Florida, so Alleva was not allowing the game to be away.
It's a good thing that this buffoon is retiring. What an incompetent, stubborn moron. Here's to hoping Alleva isn't too far behind.
0%. They already have made that clear. It doesn't matter now, because a decision has been made.
If it has to be on the 19th, with no other viable options, I would push for the game to be moved to the 18th instead. That gives 5 days of rest between FLA and A&M instead of 4. I think the game should be in BR, since FLA essentially gave up their home game to LSU by not planning and dragging their feet, with LSU going to FLA next year. LSU should not be punished doubly (home game and recovery time) for FLA's poor management.
I proposed to my now wife in front of Mike VI's habitat, with no one around but him, with him swimming in the pool right beside us. One of the best days of my life shared with a beautiful woman and a damn tiger. RIP Mike
Ask USC if they think LSU "stole" a home game from them last year. What a stupid excuse. LSU was the only one trying to negotiate to play this game. Are you blind or just dumb?
Can't stand Alleva. He is an idiot that most LSU fans can't stand but is easy for the boosters to push around, so he stays. However, Foley is the one who was unwilling to negotiate this game so that's probably why he is staying silent. Everyone who has eyes that can read, or ears that can listen, knows that Foley was the one who didn't want to play the game.
If he said that, you didn't include it. From what quotes you put in here, sounds like a stretch to me.
