That makes no sense, even the author of this article pointed out that it is probably to do with playing time and depth chart. Let them take the 4-star recruits, we keep taking the 5-star ones.
I would actually be ok with that. Bama fan and alumni, but I live in Atlanta and have watched the heartbreak for Georgia all season with my friends who are die hard. The greatest game experience I've ever had was like 3 years ago, UGA-Tech in Athens, it was like 30 degrees at kickoff. The concession stands ran out of coffee and hot chocolate and I bought a nacho and told the lady to keep the chips, just to pile jalapeños and piping hot cheese in the container so I could keep warm. But we barked, and we cheered, and we wiped the frozen snot from out noses to yell at the officials, and I had an absolute blast. I would love to see Georgia return to form, having already landed a top QB recruit to groom up during Mason's 2014 so that he can be ready to take over. Peppers would be a solid piece on an already young defense moving forward. As long as we can keep him from ending up in Auburn or Gainesville.
That's what all the Michigan fans got so upset about. They thought the Peppers commit was basically going to guarantee them Hand. Maybe Hand was smart enough to know that he wants to play in a competitive conference with the best chance of both winning a NC and going high in the draft. So Peppers is looking at the BCS and saying, "Oh, B1G undefeated team Ohio State is just stuck at #3 because the conference is so terrible, maybe I should reconsider being a part of this, I want part of what Hand is having." I don't think he wants to play side by side with Hand at Alabama (which is a bummer), but I think he wants to be in the same conversation.
