It doesn't matter. Mississippi State still would have won. There was a 15-point difference in the score. You can argue that it might have psyched up Auburn to perform better, but you can also argue that MS State would have met any challenge. Mississippi State was the better team. They manhandled Auburn. It should have been obvious to all.
