During the game it felt like Georgia was being routed and they were in some aspects but Bennett mistakes flipped the score by at least 14 points. Pod was off and should have made at least one of the two missed FG’s. I know Ohio State fans think the officials screwed them but in fact they screwed Georgia a lot more including missing a hold on the 28 yard QB run that even put Ohio in position to try a game winning field goal, plus two horrible spots (each favoring Ohio by nearly 5 yards each); one gifted Ohio a field goal and the other helped extend a drive that resulted in a TD. The two botched calls that were reversed would both have cost Georgia the game.

No it wasn't a first down. I have a screen capture that shows even more clearly the space between the ball and post. They obviously let a little slack in the chain before making the decision. As bad as UGA played in defense and kicking its a shame a horrible call cost is the ability to see an exciting finish.
