I guess he had to rain on someone else's parade since the Longhorns' season was basically over after game 3. Maybe he is still upset after the beating Ole Miss gave them last season.
I don't know but it seems they hit shoulder to shoulder at the same time (or a nano second before) the helmets hit which wouldn't qualify as "initiating" as 9-1-4 says. I can't find a good HD version to blow up on my screen so I can't tell for sure. I don't think it was a "dirty" per se but dirty or not its probably going to warrant sitting out a half by the league in the interest of safety which I don't agree with. His actions after don't help his cause, however, and just needs to keep his mouth shut and get off the field.
Although we are ranked 1 and I'm enjoying it, I don't think we should have leapfrogged FSU to begin with. Fact is they are winning and haven't lost in 20+ games and should be #1 until they lose. Its tempting to say OM should leapfrog MSU but I also don't think a team should be leapfrogged for having a bye week either. So my rankings would be: 1. FSU 2. MSU 3. OM 4. Auburn 5. Alabama 6-8 Interchange Mich St. UGA or Oregon 9-10 pick 2 between ND, TCU or Baylor. I don't envy the playoff selection committee at all.
To me it looks like it was helmet to helmet but it was actually the back of the Kentucky players helmet that hit..not the crown. It seemed like he was trying to avoid it actually. The trash talking is stupid after especially since they were getting violated.
I think the hamster ball that rolls around in his head got stuck
I don't have a problem with it though I could see it being considered showboating. Though Pernell McPhee got called for it a few years ago, so maybe it should be: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2in0GuRhPo
"ability to call an interception"..I could not have said it better myself. 2004 may be the lowest point in all my years of following MSU football with the loss to Maine. Maybe only beaten by the "tech and 10" year.
I think MSU will have more fans at Southern Miss' stadium than they will.
