Let’s see, there was the pass interference that was called on Missouri ONLY after the Georgia WR whined about it, there was the PI called on Missouri that was uncatchable and called well after the play was over, even the announcers were confused about the ‘dead ball flag’, then there was the offensive PI that was called against Georgia (Oops!) that had to be reviewed on replay and overturned. Did not know until today that you could review a pass interference and over turn it. Hmmm.
I am still anxiously waiting for local Kansas City Sports Radio superstar Kevin Keitzman to come on the air Monday and use this data to explain his theory that the Big 12 is unquestionably the best college football conference in nation. Better yet, how he will twist it to where TCU could have beat Bama and how his K State Wildcats could beat any SEC East team. It will be pure radio gold. He has to be the only lunatic that believes that the Big 12 is the best conference.
Cracking up at the 1995 line. Florida was favored by 24 over Arkansas, AND STILL COVERED!
The problem with this is that the SEC media and team message boards build these teams up as if they are the hottest team in the SEC and at the same time they tear Mizzou down as a paper tiger. It hoodwinks these fans to think that their team is better than they really are and that the Tigers are not very good. Then the game happens and they find out how wrong everyone was. It's just depressing for them. Arky fans have to go through this same process Friday. I feel sorry for them.
Well, through Orange colored glasses the Tennessee player was not offsides, but if you watch the clip and not the screenshots (which is a picture of how it looked before he kicked it), the Vol player near the bottom of the screen was offsides. The play was called correctly because the flag was thrown right when the play happened, when replay showed that Mizzou touched the ball, they had the option then to accept that penalty. I think it's hilarious that SDS labels this as a fiasco, just drumming up delusional thoughts in Vol fans heads that they might have been able to score again and then got another 2 point conversion just to tie. I have no dog in this, just thought it funny that it was a correct call turned into a 'fiasco'. By the way, if the Mizzou kicker was inept at all, and would have hit either one of those missed extra points, it would have been a Mizzou rout late in the game.
The worst was the bogus pass interference call against Mizzou receiver Jimmie Hunt right before half. There was no foul and it turned a first down on the Tenn 39 yard line into a 2nd and 31 deep in Mizzou's own territory. No doubt that would have lead to another score for Mizzou.
